The market for connected objects for the home is changing rapidly. In June 2021, in the segment of air conditioning and heating equipment for the home (new and renovation), AIRWELL launched My Hybrid Home: a solution that combines connected objects and artificial intelligence to create its own energy (photovoltaic) that can be reused in the home and better control its consumption by optimizing it. At the same time, the DEP – Diagnostic Performance Energétique – is enriched with new criteria with a more readable energy consumption and the collection of more precise data concerning the estimation of the average amount of the energy bill of the housing: two complementary approaches.
The DEP (Diagnostic Performance Energétique): evaluate the annual energy consumption of a property
Since 2006, the DEP allows to evaluate the annual energy consumption of a property. But since July 1, 2021, the 3rd version of the DEP aims to make more readable the consumption and energy bill of housing and collect more accurate data. The display of these data will be mandatory in real estate ads and deeds of sale from January 1, 2022*. This new version will apply to all DEP carried out in the context of the sale or rental of private or social housing, in individual houses or condominiums, and will have to be provided to any candidate for the acquisition or rental of a property.
*The document will include 3 key pieces of information: the estimated average energy bill for the home,the already known energy performance label and the climate label which details the greenhouse gas emissions related to the home.
A new calculation method
This V3 is now based on a single method and only on the physical characteristics of the dwelling such as the building, the quality of the insulation, the type of windows or the heating system and uses more reliable input data. It also integrates new parameters such as the level of general insulation, the quality of ventilation and summer comfort, the updating of weather scenarios, the taking into account of the most recent equipment or the improved thermal calculation… Other estimated criteria are also taken into account such as a daily occupancy of the dwelling of 16 hours on weekdays or the ambient temperature. In the version of the new DEP 2021, the 5 uses of energy consumption are in the calculation, against 3 previously: heating, hot water, air conditioning, lighting and auxiliaries(VMC / heating).

A solution for controlling home energy equipment (and all connected objects during 2022), Ma Maison Hybride is based on a single application (AIR HOME) and a dedicated home automation box using an open communication protocol (Zigbee) for managing and controlling home equipment: heat pumps, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, domestic hot water, connected objects, and solar production.
Results : controlled energy consumption thanks to live monitoring and optimized intelligent communication between housing equipment.
Ma Maison Hybride: the ideal solution for new construction or renovation
Eventually, this solution for new and renovated houses will allow to follow in real time the electricity production of the photovoltaic panels and to consult its history in order to calculate the savings made. This solution and these products will also be monitored remotely by Airwell’s SERVICE teams to anticipate possible failures.
